Dry-type cast resin transformer

 A dry-type cast resin transformer is an excellent choice to go with when maximum safety is your prime objective. Cast resin dry-type transformers may be utilized for both indoor and outdoor applications.  Generally, a dry-type transformer does not use any insulating liquid and does not have its windings or core immersed in liquid. Rather, the windings and core are contained in an air-pressurized enclosed tank. In high moisture zones, dry-type cast resin transformers (CRT) find a wide application. It is because the main and secondary windings are encapsulated in epoxy resin. This encapsulation aids in preventing moisture from penetrating and affecting the winding material. This cast resin encapsulation provides complete protection, allowing the transformer to operate without interruption in a high-moisture environment. As a result, this transformer is non-hygroscopic. This transformer is available in ratings ranging from 25 KVA to 12,500 KVA with an insulation class of F. (90oC Temp. Rise).
