Solar Inverter Transformer
A Solar Inverter Transformer is used in solar power applications with the primary function being converting DC Voltage from the photovoltaic systems and stepping it up to the required rated output. Esennar Transformers offer a compact design for the Solar Inverter transformers where the special multiple windings design of the transformer enables to connect multiple inverters to the grid with a limited number of transformers in total.
A solar inverter is used to convert the DC (Direct Current) the output of a PV solar panel into a utility frequency AC (alternating current) that can be boosted into a commercial electrical network The solar energy is stored within the battery from PV cells. This energy of the battery is modified to AC supply of 50Hz frequency. The Solar Inverter Transformers have a galvanically isolated inverter winding for each inverter. Furthermore, the Inverter windings, made from copper and aluminium, are designed to withstand voltage fluctuations and are suitable for Solar load profile. Inverter winding can be arranged in a star or a delta, where a star winding does not require neutral to be grounded. There is also an electrostatic shield between inverter winding and MV winding. The Solar Inverter Transformers are available in dry-type construction and have low no-load losses.
