In order to minimize losses across windings, high quality rectangular or round conductors are used for windings. The conductor is insulated with an enamel coating.  Mainly used for step up and step down applications in transmission networks, we use customized Pro-E software to design electrical transformers. By inputting the given parameters, a 3D view is simulated to understand the outcome. Using the software, it is possible to predict how the transformer will behave under electro-mechanical stresses, short circuits, and overloads. The design ensures the cost of material, maintenance, and energy due to no-load and load losses are kept to a minimum
