Why Do We Need Transformers?

Transformers:
transformer is a device that is used to increase or decrease voltages and currents in an electrical circuit.
Nowadays, electrical distribution systems, transformers are accustomed to boost voltage levels thus as to decrease line losses throughout the transmission.
Transformers serve to manipulate the level of voltage flowing through any point in a power grid in a way that balances the efficiency of transmission with basic safety.
Clearly, it’s financially and much advantageous to each customer and therefore the proprietors of the power plant and grid to forestall losses of power between electricity leaving the power plant and its reaching homes or other destinations.
On the other hand, if the quantity of voltage hunting through a typical high-tension power wire wasn’t diminished before coming into your Industry, chaos, and disaster would result.
Three Phase Transformer:
Three-phase transformers are designed to provide electrical power to three-phase systems. These electrical devices have 3 circuit conductors and should or shouldn’t have a neutral wire. Three-phase power is employed by wattage distribution grids and to power massive motors and alternative large loads.
Advantage:
Constant power transfer and canceling phase currents would, in theory, be possible with any number of phases, maintaining the capacity-to-conductor material ratio that is twice that of single-phase power. However, two-phase power results in a less smooth torque in a generator or motor, and more than three phases of complicates infrastructure unnecessarily.
